Money, Money Money

Ahhhh, money. The perceived source of stress and joy. I've had my mind on my money (you finish the sentence). I was inspired to do a little "Money Reading" for the week for all of us to see what the hell is going on. We have a new moon happening so some of us have been feeling a little discombobulated while it has been approaching.

So let's take a gander at the Angel Tarot cards, SHALL WE?

Recent Past: Knight of Earth

How fitting for an Earth card to appear. Earth cards focus on the material matters of the world...like money! This card is saying that you've had to buckle down and figure your stuff out. You had some sort of game plan in mind or knew you had to get your gears turning because life was just not moving in the way you wanted (or not moving at all!). You had some commitments on your plate that needed to get taken care of before you could receive what you needed and wanted.

Present: Four of Earth

Another Earth card! And a saucy one at that. Take a look at the first line. "Being too frivolous or too cautious with money." Well,  it looks like we are still not quite on the right track, lining up with that feeling of Gosh, I still need to figure out what I'm doing with my green ($$). Remember if you are too scared to spend you're money, you're sending out the frequency of I don't have enough... And that may be true when it comes to bills and food and the cost of living BUT you can be practical and remove the negativity of fear. If you replace that fear with gratefulness and love, you'll start aligning yourself to receive instead of push away. Instead of thinking My god, I can only afford a granola bar for lunch what am I going to do- try changing that though to -Thank god I have enough to sustain myself in this moment. It seems small and stupid but trust me, try it in some area of your life and you will see a difference.

But what about the other comment--being too frivolous with money? This can be hard around the holidays and can really rock our bank accounts and set us up for failure ESPECIALLY since Mr. MasterCard and Mrs. Visa are always stretching their arms out to us. This goes back to the Knight of Earth card's idea that we need to plan out our moves. You don't owe anyone anything. The bigger the present does NOT mean better the present.

So where are we headed with all this?

Immediate Future: The Wheel

Yes! I love this card. It's one of the most positive cards in the deck. The Wheel means we are moving forward and in the RIGHT direction. So, we've got to plan to balance our lives a little better than we have been and once we start moving forward we will be rolling like the wheel. Archangel Michael is also on the card. He's non-denominational, so if you call on him, he will help every Tom, Dick, and Henrietta there is.  He's the protector so if you ask him to cut your etheric cords to bad spending habits or thoughts of fear, he'll slice those away so you won't feel as held back.

Well then...

I hope this helps! If you have any questions about this reading, leave a comment!

But Ma, I Love Caffeine!

Hey friends,

I love caffeine. Despite trying to use the most non-toxic products and trying to eat the healthiest foods, I have a torrid love affair with caffeine.

Soda, coffee, tea -- My mouth is watering.  The downside is, I don't think I react to it very well. One cup of coffee in the morning is fine but when I start round two, I end up getting hives and crashing.

I was trying out one of my newer decks, the Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards (Doreen Virtue), and decided to ask a general, "Should I know anything about my health" question.

How convenient...
The first card I pulled was this lovely angel riding a bearded unicorn screaming,"CAFFEINE FREE!"
Normally,  I wouldn't take hyperactivity advice from someone riding around a unicorn, fist pumping the sky, but he looks so happy flying around on his caffeine-free mythical creature.

The truth is, caffeine can block our connection to ourselves, spirit, the angels, etc. I know natural caffeine does have its health benefits (hooray!) but when we our overloading ourselves --especially with synthetic ingredients--we are doing more harm than good.

If you struggle with a caffeine addiction, then ask your angels to cut your cords of dependency on it. You might still get a headache or two but your body will thank you and you'll restore your natural energy levels.

Is anyone else a caffeine addict? How do you try to kick your habit? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend Reading!

Hello my little earth angels, light workers, indigos, rainbow children, and maybe even a few muppets!

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope a calm Black Friday (no sucker punches needed).

After all the traveling and rushing around and interacting with so many people and their energy, I used Doreen Virtue's Angel Therapy Oracle Cards to ask if there was any advice or reminders for us to get back to center.

I started shuffling and before I could even pick a card the "Be Willing to Forgive" card fell into my lap.
Uh..totally coincidental! Right?

Even if you don't consciously acknowledge it, maybe you sat further away from Uncle Bobo at the dinner table this Thanksgiving. After all, he did play "got your nose"  into your teen years and effectively embarrassed you in front of your family for all eternity. Forgiveness does not mean condoning annoying or destructive behavior (I'm sure many of us WISH we had our noses grabbed given some of the toxic behavior swirling around ourselves and our family members). Forgiveness is really just giving yourself permission to let go negative and uncomfortable feelings that you've been holding onto. Holding onto such stress and anxiety is not affecting the other person. It is only affecting you. It's okay to let go and allow yourself to forgive and move forward.

Which brings me to our next card...

Maybe it wasn't just Uncle Bobo you were scooting away from at the dinner table...
You love your parent(s)/guardian(s) but maybe you have a complicated relationship with one or all of them.
The Parents card ties in perfectly with the Be Willing to Forgive card, especially with the holidays and many gatherings we're attending. Sometimes we can feel obligated to play nice just because it's what we're told to do this time of year.
This is a reminder again, if you allow a little forgiveness in your heart, you will benefit greatly and start to heal.
If you take a look back at the Be Willing to Forgive card, you will see the caduceus symbol ( the medical symbol -- don't worry, I had to look it up) at the chest of the angel. The forgiveness will heal your heart and clear out old junky energy clogging up your heart chakra.
I love how the Parents depicted in this card are playing their instruments merrily. After a few glasses of wine I'm sure all our parents are shaking their tambourines and telling embarrassing stories from our childhood as we're sitting at the table. Oh how our ego and pride hates that.
If you are having an extra hard time with anything you may have gone through, please know that the angel cards are absolutely NO substitution for a therapist's or doctor's help. There is no shame in getting help from a professional who knows how to help you heal. It's awesome and liberating to take control back. (This is coming from someone who's own parent heavily frowned upon therapy and was judgmental. These old school beliefs have no place in our lives anymore!)

What both of these cards do encourage is the power of prayer and asking for help. Whether you pray to the Universe, God, a Creator, whomever --it  helps! It's okay to ask for what you want whether that be peace, or strong relationships, or healing for yourself and others.

I pulled one more card because the other two fell out onto my lap and I wanted to see what I would pull and it was...
Fairies!
Our little Janis Joplin doppelganger closes the reading out.
I love angel cards and reading about all things soul and spiritual related but even the fairy realm is hard for me to take seriously sometimes. It is a nice thought that little Tinkerbells are flying around trying to help us out.
However, I am interpreting this card as a reminder of all the consumption and gluttony that can rear their ugly little heads during this season. I feel this is a helpful reminder to recycle, up-cycle, donate, clean up, be kind to the earth and it will be kind back. Use cloth napkins instead of paper towels, recycle all the wine bottles and Coke cans instead of throwing them in the trash after a big party. The easy way might not be the most sustainable way!

Alright my little flower patches, I hope you enjoyed this reading.
